克拉拉 Gomez-Sanchez

Dr. 克拉拉 Gomez-Sanchez is a vascular surgeon who cares for patients with a broad range of diseases involving blood vessels, including aortic aneurysms (bulges in the main artery from the heart to the body), peripheral artery disease (narrowing of arteries that limits blood flow to arms or legs), carotid artery disease (clogged blood vessels limiting blood flow to the brain), vascular trauma (injured blood vessels) and chronic venous insufficiency (dysfunction of leg veins that causes swelling and other problems). She is skilled in both traditional surgical techniques and minimally invasive procedures.

In addition to surgery, Gomez-Sanchez is passionate about addressing health care disparities. She strives to educate patients on symptoms of vascular disease to empower them in their journeys toward better health. She also trains future surgeons to be both skilled and empathetic. She has won awards for teaching and mentorship at UCSF.

Gomez-Sanchez earned her medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. She completed a residency in general surgery and a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at UCSF.
